Humpback Whales

From January until April every year North Atlantic Humpback Whales are found in the warms waters surrounding Salt Cay.  They are in the area for calving and breeding and it is common to see whales passing along the shoreline right off the back of our property. Salt Cay is one of the only places in the world where it is possible to have in-water snorkeling encounters with these gentle giants.

During the whale season you can book half day whalewatching trips with Salt Cay Divers, located less than 10 minutes by bike from our property.  They also offer scuba diving, snorkeling and day trips to nearby uninhabited islands.

If you are lucky you can even see whales pass under you while kayaking just off our beach.
